Teams Who Can Use a Chemistry Boost

With some teams, everything seems to go automatically. Every pass is just right, the open man stands in the right spot and difficult shots go in. But not all teams have that luxury. These teams can definitely use an upgrade in their team chemistry.

It’s now the post-Butler era in Minneapolis, but the team still needs time to get into rhythm again. Covington seems to fit right in with his new team, while Saric seemed to be a bit lost on the court with his new teammates. On paper they seem to be very suited to fit the playing style of their new team, so hopefully they’ll get the hang of it soon.

Now that Butler is gone, there are less problems, but as of now there’s  a lack of a leader on the team. Karl-Anthony Towns is definitely the most talented and effective player, but he’s not someone who will get his teammates out of a slump. Maybe, now that Butler is gone, Towns will transform into a leader, but if he doesn’t the Timberwolves might have a big problem.

Trading Marcin Gortat should’ve been the solution for the chemistry problem in Washington. But, maybe, just maybe, as their problems have continued after he was gone, the Polish Hammer wasn’t the real problem.

It might be time to trade one of the teams star players: Bradley Beal or John Wall. The Wizards’ team isn’t championship material either way, so it might be best for them to build on a healthy team. The Wizards have confirmed that they’re willing to trade everyone, and no player is off limits.

Jimmy Butler finally got his way out after demanding a trade from the Timberwolves. Now, time will have to tell whether Butler will match with his new teammates. Getting along with his new teammates might not be as difficult as actually fitting into their playing style, as the 76ers already have two dominant players, Embiid and Simmons, who like to play in the bucket.

The trade meant that the Sixers’ biggest problem child, Markelle Fultz, was moved from the starting line-up to the bench, as the Sixers needed Redick’s shooting skills to remain a threat from behind the three-point line.

The Rockets are currently in quite a difficult spot after almost making it to the Finals last year. They’ve lost several players in the off-season that proved to be more important than expected, and they haven’t found the right replacements for them. Carmelo was supposed to be the missing piece, but that wasn’t meant to be.

The group of players now, hasn’t played together enough to play as a real team, or have any real chemistry together. Hopefully, they’ll be able to get a boost in their chemistry soon, and regain their level from last year.
