Exercising before going to sleep can be very beneficial. For starters, it’s a great stress reliever and gives you a clear state of mind before heading into bed. A small work-out can also release the tension in your body after a long day at work, especially if your work behind a desk all day. Working out before bed also helps to keep your metabolism going through the night. Last but not least, while we’re sleeping our bodies release the human growth hormone (HGH) which helps our muscles and tissue grow back stronger.

5 min workout:

– 20 pushups
– 20 seconds of elbow plank
– 20 seconds of right side plank
– 20 seconds of left side plank
– 20 squats
– 20 alternating lunges
– 20 jump squats or 20-second wall sit

*Repeat the sequence twice
