Over the years there has been a growing connection between the basketball and art community. Countless photographers travel the globe to capture the greatest courts, sculptors create incredible installations inspired by the game and player and now Nike Hongkong decided to dedicate a whole exhibition to Golden State Warrior Kevin Durant’s sneaker evolution.

Durant released his first pair of KD X Nike sneakers back in 2008 and has been expanding the brand ever since. So far there have been 11 KD models in countless colorways and fabrics. This art collection was curated to highlight the evolution of Durant’s footwear as well as offering a diverse experience for viewers.

The exhibit consists of various artworks created by KD himself, artwork by local sneakerheads and work by students from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, varying from paintings, photography, illustrations, and customized kicks. There’s also the opportunity to create your own miniature KD sneaker at the “Create Your Own KD 9” workshop. The exhibit is a great tribute to Duran and his contributions to basketball and Nike and we for one can’t wait to see what further releases their relationship will bring.
