Introducing: 6LACK

Following the release of this first solo project FREE 6LACK in November 2016 6LACK, pronounced ‘black’, has been getting all the fame. The Atlanta singer/rapper has been selling out shows in Europe and has been named one of the 10 artists to watch by Rolling Stone and premiered Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ by being the first artist of the month featured last month.

His music can be best described as woke R&B with a dazed and dark twist of reality sipping through every beat and melody. 6LACK initially signed to an unnamed independent label but left the label after five year because he felt creatively restricted. By putting out songs secretly through SoundCloud he gained a following and quickly went on the bigger and better things. After linking up with agency LVRN (LoveRenaissance), he signed to Interscope Records and released his first single PRBLMS in September 2016. Soon after his debut album FREE BLACK was released and he now has over 3.700.000 streams on Spotify.

FREE 6LACK consists of 11 tracks. On it, 6BLACK discusses relatable topics that vary from his ex-calling to the struggles of love and his rise of fame over minimalistic yet intricate beats with raw vocals that carry the melody and message perfectly. The melancholic songwriter dedicates his music to tell a story through his music and does it ever so captivating. Trust me, this one will leave you wanting more.
