BVA Amsterdam sets a good example in their search for girls with a passion for basketball.

Last Monday, the ladies of Roger Williams University visited BVA. This NCAA Division III team was on a tour of Europe to look for some fun competition. In Amsterdam, they found one of the oldest clubs in the city. It was BVA who welcomed them to their sports facility. They even had the great idea of letting the young girls train with the American ladies. Before the tournament, the Hawks girls and coach gave a clinic to the U12, U14 and VU16. An educational and especially fun experience for the kids.

Later that night the ladies played a small tournament together with our VU22, Ladies 2 and Ladies 1. It was a very successful tournament with exciting matches, in which our Ladies 1 eventually won the other three teams.

This upcoming Wednesday BVA will be hosting an all ladies day at the van Hogendorphal. It will be held from 17.00 to 19.00 o'clock. The entry will be free. This way we can get more girls to play basketball and expand the sport on the women's front.
